December 2009, a new conference to reach a new deal with the purpose to stop the global warming. There were more than 191 representatives of countries but it wasn't a conference like the others. This time USA was willing to reduce their carbon dioxide emissions. But, let's go to analyze which is the global warming problem.

At first sight the global warning could seem a little problem without importance but if we investigate and know more about its effects on the Earth we can see it isn't as simple as it seem. Consequently of greenhouse gases the temperature is increasing every year on the Earth. This is a big problem because is the temperature go up too, a lot of species could be died out. Furthermore, the glaciers could melt. As a result of glaciers melt, the sea level will increase some meters and many cities could disappear. Also little island disappear and beaches too.

The greenhouse effect is not the only one cause of the global warming. Other reasons why the global warming is being so dangerous to the Earth are the waste disposal, deforestation and the overexploitation of the natural resources. On the one hand, deforestation is a really big problem because if we reduce the area of forest, the land will become in a desert. That's one of the main problem of climate change in Spain because we are in a country where the water is not enough and it will be worse in some years. On the other hand, overexploitation of the natural resources is also something that Copenhagen summit wants to make a solution. One of the alternatives to solve this is by recycling. It's an old proposal but at the same time, little developed in many countries. If we recycle plastics, paper or whatever is possible, we are reducing the accumulation of rubbish and moreover we are avoiding getting new natural resources to create a new thing.

Nowadays the climate change is giving its first effects on the Earth and we are suffering them but in a low level. We can check it every summer when we saw as the news show us temperatures higher in the mainland and also here, in the canary island. Although I haven't said yet, the climate change also causes amazing storms and tornadoes. In 2005 we could see in USA one of the biggest hurricanes of the history, ‘Katrina Hurricane'. It cause more than 10,000 deaths. Animals are also suffering this climate change and every month more than 100 species die out and new species become in endangered species. That's why a lot of NGOs fight against global warming.

Broadly speaking, the global warming will be the first concern in the future. Even though richest countries are going to be affected by it, On the heart, the main problems will be on the developing countries. I'm pretty sure million of people will die in Africa and South America because of the global warming. In countries like USA, United Kingdom, Italy and even in Spain, the temperatures will be higher and the hurricanes and storms will be frequent but, spite of those things, society in these countries is not poor so will be able to continue buying water and having a relaxed afternoon in their living-room with an air-conditionated. On the contrary Cameroonians, Ethiopian and African people will die because they won't be able to buy water. As a result of this, they won't be able to cultivate and they won't have food. They will need more aids from rich countries what will become them in countries more dependents. But the problem won't be also these. As a consequence of the global warming, developed countries will destine more money to serve their citizens so they'll reduce the money to developing countries.

Therefore, we are who are causing the global warming so we are who can avoid it, but, those who are not causing the global warming and can't avoid it, are going to be the main injured. Today on the news have said that developed countries are going to use part of the PIB that had been destined to developing countries (0.007% approximately) to develop environmentally friendly energies.

At this stage, we have to hurry up if we want to avoid some of the consequences of the global warming and summits like Copenhagen conferences could be the solution to get an agreement which compromise the main pollution countries to reduce their emissions to the atmosphere. Global warming is a global problem and we must be clear that if we are separate we'll never get to stop the global warming. The first step is give, the Copenhagen summit approve to reduce a 25% the greenhouse gases and now we have to give the next step which is briefly, reducing this 25% of greenhouse gases. But this is not an exclusive work for the government; every one of us must put our grain of sand to reduce the global warming if we want to enjoy Caribbean beaches on the future, because on the contrary, we can't swim in there as they will be under the sea.
